Clear answers.No guessing.
See how one artwork becomes a complete listing, how proportional fitting works and when Etsy connection is needed.
You make the art. DraftSprite builds the editable listing draft.
Getting started
Start with the artwork, not a long setup
01What does DraftSprite create from one artwork?
DraftSprite prepares up to 20 mock-ups from your chosen saved line-up, one listing video, an artwork-specific title and description, all 13 search tags and a complete editable listing draft. If you do not choose a saved line-up, it automatically selects 10 ratio-matched mock-ups instead. You review every part before deciding what happens next.
02What is the quickest way to start?
Create a free account, optionally choose one of your saved ratio-labelled line-ups, then drop in one finished JPG or PNG. If you leave the line-up on automatic, DraftSprite detects the artwork ratio and chooses 10 matching non-PSD scenes. Only when the shapes differ will you be asked to show the whole artwork or crop proportionally to fill.
03Do I need to connect Etsy before I can try it?
No. You can start with your artwork and see DraftSprite's complete result first. Etsy connection is only relevant at handoff, and availability is shown clearly before you connect.
04Can I create one listing or a batch?
Both. Start with one artwork to learn the flow, or use the same saved listing setup for a collection. Each artwork still receives its own mock-ups, title, description and tags.
05Is DraftSprite an art generator?
No. DraftSprite starts with artwork you have already made. It prepares the selling materials around that artwork and keeps your original design under your control.
Artwork & ratios
The right shape is detected and labelled
06Which mock-up ratios are available now?
The live mock-up library currently supports ISO A (A5 to A1) and 4:5 (8×10, 12×15 and 16×20). Every customer-facing scene is marked with its ratio in the Mock-up Library.
07What happens when I upload customer artwork?
DraftSprite measures the artwork shape and applies the matching ratio-labelled line-up automatically. If it does not match a live format, the artwork preparation preview offers two proportion-safe choices: keep the whole artwork with padding, or crop to fill.
08What if the artwork ratio is not supported yet?
DraftSprite opens an artwork-preparation preview. Choose Show all artwork to keep the complete image with padding, or Fill the frame to trim the edges proportionally. Both preserve the artwork's proportions, and you preview the result before continuing. More scene formats are planned, including 3:4, 2:3, 11:14, 5:7, Square, and remain labelled as planned until compatible scenes are available.
09Will DraftSprite stretch my artwork?
No. Show all artwork may add white space, while Fill the frame trims the edges proportionally. Neither choice changes the artwork's proportions.
10Which file type should I upload?
Use a clear, high-resolution JPG or PNG. A file already prepared in the intended print ratio is quickest, but the artwork preview lets you position and resize another shape before generation.
Mock-ups & video
Natural scenes that keep their real light
11Do I have to position the artwork in every room?
No. Choose a saved line-up of up to 20 scenes and DraftSprite applies it in your saved order. If no line-up is chosen, it falls back to 10 matching scenes automatically. In both cases, the artwork is fitted into each prepared area for you.
12Are frame shadows, reflections and foreground objects preserved?
Yes. A good DraftSprite scene keeps the room lighting on the frame, glass and artwork opening, including believable shadows, reflections and any plant or prop that naturally crosses the print. These are part of the scene, not flat decoration placed over the final image.
13How can I tell which ratio a mock-up scene uses?
Each customer-facing scene has a clear ratio badge in the Mock-up Library. Filter by the artwork ratio when customising a line-up, then add only matching scenes. DraftSprite prevents an incompatible line-up from being used silently.
14Can I change the headline image or scene order?
Yes. Put the strongest buyer-facing image first, reorder the rest and save that line-up for future listings. A particular listing can still be adjusted before approval.
15What are the listing video choices?
You can use reusable shop footage you have uploaded, or create a short scene-based video from the listing's artwork. The choice and final media order are shown before generation.
Copy & review

16How are the title, description and tags written?
DraftSprite analyses the supplied artwork and combines that with your saved product details. It prepares an artwork-specific title, natural description and all 13 search tags rather than generic filler.
17Can I edit the result?
Yes. The title, description, tags, images, video, prices, sizes and delivery details remain reviewable. Edit anything that needs your voice or judgement before approval.
18What is a Listing Setup?
It is the reusable group of product choices for a listing, such as physical or digital, sizes, prices, delivery and shop wording. Save it once, then choose it by name when you create another draft. Ratio-labelled scene choices are managed separately in the Mock-up Library.
19What does DraftSprite mean by a listing draft?
It means the complete work prepared for one product: mock-ups, video, title, description, tags and your saved selling details. It stays editable and is not the same as a live Etsy listing.
Etsy & security
Connect only when needed and stay in control
20Is Etsy handoff available to every customer now?
Build and review the complete listing in DraftSprite. Etsy draft handoff is available to approved connected shops.
21Does DraftSprite publish automatically?
No. DraftSprite never publishes a listing automatically. Where Etsy handoff is available, it creates a new unpublished draft only after you approve the final check.
22What can DraftSprite access when I connect Etsy?
Creates only new unpublished drafts after approval. Never publishes a listing automatically. Does not access orders, buyers, payments or reviews. Can be disconnected at any time.
23Can I disconnect my shop?
Yes. You can disconnect Etsy at any time. DraftSprite keeps its own saved setups and drafts so you can continue your work or reconnect the same shop later.
24Is DraftSprite part of Etsy?
No. DraftSprite is an independent tool operated by Ava Lily Studio. It is not endorsed or certified by Etsy, Inc.
25Who is responsible for the finished listing?
You are. DraftSprite provides an editable starting point and practical automation, while the seller remains responsible for the artwork, product accuracy, legal checks, shop policies and final approval.
