Connect your Etsy shop¶
Your goal: connect the correct shop when the option is available and understand the review step.
Check availability first¶
DraftSprite's current onboarding supports Etsy connection for approved accounts. Some accounts instead see the mock-up demo and an option to continue without connecting. If you have a tester invitation, follow its activation instructions first.
If your account is not eligible yet, you can still read this guide and explore the options available in the app. Do not keep registering new accounts to try to unlock the connection.
Connect from DraftSprite¶
- Open DraftSprite and sign in.
- On the connection step, choose Connect my Etsy shop when it is available.
- Check which Etsy account is signed in before approving access.
- Read Etsy's consent screen and approve only if you want that shop connected.
- When you return to DraftSprite, check that the expected shop name is displayed.
Do not send anyone your Etsy password or authorisation token. The permission step happens on Etsy.
Keep the final decision¶
Prepare the listing, review the content and use the send action only when you are ready. A successful handoff creates an unpublished Etsy draft. Open that draft in Etsy, check the details and publish it yourself when everything is ready.
Connecting a shop does not automatically publish listings, connect your print supplier or refresh the whole catalogue.
If the connection does not work¶
Check that you have returned to DraftSprite after the Etsy consent screen, that you used the intended Etsy account and that connection is available to your DraftSprite account. Note the exact error, the page and the approximate time.
Use DraftSprite support if the issue continues. Send a screenshot with private account details removed. If a send action reports a problem, check Etsy's drafts before trying again so you can see whether a draft was already created.
