Make your shop your own

Your goal: help a visitor understand what you sell and who is behind it.

Make the first impression consistent

Use a readable shop icon, a simple banner and a consistent visual style. Preview them on a phone as well as a larger screen. Small text in a wide banner is difficult to read on mobile.

Let the artwork do most of the work. A few representative designs and a clear shop name are often more useful than a banner full of offers, tiny text and unrelated images. Use the current dimensions Etsy requests when uploading.

Write a short shop announcement

Explain what you sell, then mention one useful detail. Keep delivery promises specific to what you can deliver.

Example to personalise: replace the square-bracketed parts, then remove any sentence that is not true for your shop.

Welcome to [your shop name]. Discover [your type of artwork] for [your customer or room].

Our [physical prints / digital downloads] are designed to bring [your style or feeling] into your space. Please check each listing for sizes, what is included and delivery or download details.

Have a question before ordering? Send us a message through Etsy.

Tell your story in the About section

Write as yourself. Explain what you make, what inspires you and how your products are prepared. If a printing partner produces your work, describe your design role and the partner's production role honestly.

I'm [your name], the person behind [your shop name]. I create [your artwork] inspired by [your inspiration].

My aim is to make [your purpose or style] available for [your audience]. I design and prepare the artwork, then [explain your printing partner, your own printing process or your digital delivery].

Every listing explains the available sizes and exactly what you will receive.

Add information that prevents confusion

Cover whether frames are included, print dimensions, paper details, processing time, delivery estimates, digital access and what to do if an order has a problem. Use the FAQ examples as starting points.

Set your Etsy shop policies to match your actual process and the requirements that apply to your business. A copy-and-paste FAQ is not a replacement for those policies.

Your next step

  • My banner and icon are readable on a phone.
  • My announcement explains what I sell.
  • My About section describes my real role and process.
  • My delivery, product and customer-service information is consistent.
