Build your first listing¶
Your goal: make it easy for someone to understand the artwork, the options and exactly what they will receive.
Choose a clear first image¶
Show the artwork large enough to recognise on a phone. A room mock-up adds context, but a tiny print on a distant wall can hide what you are selling. Make sure the main image and selected product do not imply that an unframed print includes a frame.
Give the remaining images a job¶
Use a closer view of the artwork, a second room setting, a size guide, an explanation of the included product and any useful frame or paper detail. A short video can help show the collection of images. Avoid filling every slot with almost identical scenes.
For digital products, include a clear digital-download notice and a file-size or ratio guide. For physical products, include accurate product and finish information.
Write for the buyer¶
Use a readable title that identifies the item and its important characteristics. Start the description with the product, subject and format. Then explain sizes, materials or files, frame inclusion, processing or download arrangements, and anything else the buyer needs to choose correctly.
Example title for an imaginary product:
Blue Coastal Art Print, Minimalist Seaside Wall Art
Description structure to adapt:
[Describe the artwork, its subject and the product type in one or two clear sentences.]
WHAT YOU RECEIVE
[Physical print, framed print or digital files. State exactly what is included.]
SIZES AND OPTIONS
[List the actual dimensions, finishes or files offered.]
PRODUCTION AND DELIVERY / DIGITAL ACCESS
[Explain your actual process and timings.]
PLEASE NOTE
[Relevant colour, frame, file-use or personalisation details.]
Review every option¶
Check price, quantity, size, frame colour, delivery profile, processing time, production partner and returns settings where relevant. Confirm that each SKU, if used, identifies the intended product. Remove options you cannot fulfil.
For a digital listing, check the attached files. For any listing, inspect the images and description as the buyer will see them.
Your next step¶
- The first image is readable on a phone.
- The title and first paragraph clearly describe the product.
- Every option has the correct price and fulfilment details.
- I have checked the listing before publishing.
